Orange County Sheriff to Manage Mission-Critical Assets with MCM Software

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE�November 9, 2006... BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, MCM Technology, LLC has been awarded a five-year contract with Orange County California Sheriff's Department. MCM was chosen to install and support its Real Time Public Safety and Communications Asset Management System� as the solution to manage its public safety and communications assets. With a population of over 3 million residents, Orange County is the nation's 5th most populous county. Managing taxpayers' public safety assets is a complex task, and requires a software platform capable of managing all facets both communications assets and other mission critical assets. The fact that Orange County has chosen MCM as its asset management platform speaks to the depth and utility of the software.

Orange County encompasses 34 cities, including Anaheim and Santa Ana, and has a 2005-2006 budget of $4.97 billion. Of that, 20.5% is dedicated to public protection. The Communications Division of the Sheriff's Department employs nearly 100 engineers, technicians and support staff. This division is responsible for the wireless communications for city and county law enforcement, fire services, lifeguard operations, park rangers, public works agencies, paramedics, courts, jails and probation facilities.
